Quotations and scope

Quotes are based on the information available at the time, which may include customer descriptions, photographs, messaging, phone discussions or site visits. If the actual condition, access, contamination level or surface type differs materially from what was originally described, the quote or scope may need to be revised before work starts.

Access and site conditions

Customers are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the working area, along with any known information about access restrictions, water supply issues, surface fragility, neighbouring sensitivity, drainage concerns, previous treatments or other conditions that may affect the work. Where access is not safe or suitable, work may be delayed, limited or rearranged.

Weather and timing

Exterior cleaning is weather dependent. Heavy rain, freezing conditions, high winds, unsafe access conditions or unsuitable drying conditions may mean work has to be postponed, especially where cleaning chemicals, steam treatment, sealing products or roof work are involved. Rearrangement for weather does not amount to a breach of contract.

Surface condition and realistic expectations

Exterior cleaning can improve appearance significantly, but some staining, age-related wear, deep organic marking, permanent discolouration, damage, pitting, sanding loss, previous repairs or embedded contamination may remain even after professional treatment. No service should be taken as a promise to restore every surface to an as-new condition.

Cleaning methods and chemical use

Methods are chosen according to the surface, condition and access. This may include pressure washing, soft washing, hot washing, steam cleaning, specialist stain treatment or sealing. Where chemical treatments are used, they are applied as part of normal professional exterior-cleaning practice and in a manner considered appropriate for the job.

Customer responsibilities before work

Before work begins, customers should remove or protect fragile items, vehicles, loose furnishings, sensitive ornaments, pet items and other possessions that could be affected by overspray, water movement or access needs, unless different arrangements have been clearly agreed in advance.

Commercial documentation and insurance

Bristol & Bath Exterior Solutions is fully insured. For commercial and managed-site work, insurance details and supporting documents such as risk assessments or method statements can be discussed where required as part of the booking process. If a client needs specific compliance paperwork before works begin, that should be raised as early as possible.

Payment terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due within the time stated on the quote or invoice. Larger, staged or commercial jobs may be invoiced in phases or with deposit terms where appropriate. Late payment may lead to further work being paused or future bookings being declined until the account is brought up to date.

Cancellations and rearrangements

If a booking needs to be cancelled or moved, as much notice as possible should be given. Repeated short-notice cancellations, failed access arrangements or changes that materially affect the job may result in the booking being re-quoted or deprioritised.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, liability is limited to direct loss that is reasonably foreseeable and properly evidenced. The business is not responsible for issues caused by pre-existing defects, hidden faults, unsafe structures, poor installation, historic damage or inaccurate information supplied before the job. Customers are encouraged to raise any concern promptly so it can be reviewed fairly and while the job details are still current.

Website information

Website wording, examples, case studies and photographs are provided for general guidance. They are there to help customers understand the kind of work offered, but they do not form a guarantee that every property, stain or surface will produce identical results.

Contact and updates

These terms may be updated from time to time as the business or website develops. The latest version published on the website should be treated as the current reference point. Any job-specific written quotation or agreement will take priority where it differs from these general terms.
